Chad both delivered the best shooting at 65% and the fastest race time, nice job Chad!  One thing to note in the results is how well shooting percentage lines up with race time, since we have our course length to shooting to penalty lap distance well balanced.  Be a shooter under race stress and you will do well.

The relay was so very close, only sparse seconds between the teams at both legs and the win was down to clutch shooting offhand by Greg! Sealing the deal, and melting down Sal with the pressure :)

Two bouts of short course mass start, learning and progress for all.   The capstone was a four-team mixed relay where John C. delivered fast accurate shooting and push mode on the course to hand off to me within striking distance of the tired (after two prior races!) Chad.  John C and I took the win for the second time this year.

Our two beginners, Bonnie and Britty, graduated to novice!  Cuff shooting was smooth and expert targets await!

]]> hara-juku https://mabiathlon.com/community/racing-results/march-28th-2026-results/ USBA Membership https://mabiathlon.com/community/general-discussion/usba-membership-2/ Mon, 09 Mar 2026 14:53:28 +0000 Hi gang, there are many races around the northeast that require USBA membership, say Craftsbury, Fort Kent, and others.  The cost is $75 for a year, and you will get a member number, most race registrations ask for this number.  There is also a set of safety training you can do to be certified to compete and also to be an RSO.  Get involved and see what the sport can offer outside our club.

I looked at the USBA website to get an idea of membership by club and member type, we are a mid-sized club, and a meaningful contribution to the total :)
