Okay,  so you are at the range and you forgot your scope.  Bummer.  Up and down the range checking targets.  Or.. wouldn’t it be nice if you could see your target from the prone position?  

So I got to thinking that my camera drone would be just the thing, yet it’s a drone and maybe too much tool for the job.  So camera in a jar:

The camera and transmitter will run you $35, and a decent rechargeable battery, another $15. 

I tested this out to 100 yards, decent picture.  The field of view is good for a set of biathlon targets, likely no more.
