Want to run on snow and ice without slippin and slidin? Try machine screws!
location is important, think of where you push off when striding. Also, avoid pressure points on your foot. The outside rim of the sole works well, and make sure you find a thick enough section of rubber.
I like the small machine screws, the sharp castellated edges make for good traction. And if you run real fast on pavement at night, you will throw sparks! Too cool.
